Gay and Inclusive rugby in the UK and Ireland has never been as popular.

In addition to the new IGR UK League, every year there are multiple tournaments and other opportunities for teams to gather, play rugby and socialise afterwards.

The IGR, with support from England Rugby and O2 Touch, have helped encourage the growth of more Inclusive O2 Touch Rugby clubs around England.

Working with volunteers from across several IGR clubs including Liverpool Tritons, Brighton & Hove Sea Serpents, West Country Wasps, Northampton Outlaws, Sheffield Vulcans, Typhoons of Lancashire and many more, led by the O2 Touch Operator of the Year 2019, Manchester Village Spartans, people of all genders and sexualities across England have been encouraged to give this social sport a go.

Last year’s Summer Draft, supported by O2 Touch will be happening again at the end of May 2020 to round off a year of welcoming new players into the game.  This Draft-Style tournament – the first of its kind in the UK – will be held in Manchester again – supported by England Rugby and O2 Touch.

The UK’s most popular Touch Rugby tournament encourages IGR teams made up of Union / Touch players and their allies to enjoy this sociable tournament in the midlands called “Touch My Brum” organised by the Birmingham Bulls. It is held at Sutton Coldfield Rugby Club every summer – usually in July.  Here are some photos from 2017.
