By default WordPress, which is the platform that this website has been built on, does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. However some of the plugins we have used to build the website may collect personal data.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We may collect information about your location if you have instructed your mobile device or computer to send such information via the privacy settings on that mobile device or computer. We may use the location data collected to enhance your use of the Services by providing you with relevant content and contextual advertising
We have a Store Locator on the homepage of the site to enable users to find their nearest Gay and Inclusive Rugby Club within the UK and Ireland. The Store Locator itself doesn’t collect any personally identifiable data, but it does hold location data about the clubs on the InclusiveRugby.com website. This may contain the address details, contact details, opening hours, coordinates and possible custom data that the we have decided to collect related to the club’s location.
What happens when a user makes a search is that the provided search input is sent to the Google Geocode API, which then returns a set of coordinates. Those coordinates are used to find nearby locations in the local database.
All uploaded files are usually publicly accessible. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
